Getting Flirtatious!

Hi everyone! So, I've needed some stamping mojo. I am not sure but maybe the longer hours of working every day are taking its toll. I wanted to stamp but Id go into my studio and just stare blankly at my stamps. This morning I went blog hopping and I instantly got some inspiration from Anne Hile . She makes some amazing things and after seeing her card and candle, I just had to make a card using PINK. Pink is my favorite color. Pink is the color of my family room! If I could, I'd own a pink SUV. Seriously.. I dig pink! So, here is the card that I made, inspired by Anne - thank you Anne! I will be meeting friends for a birthday celebration and this card is perfect with the gift bag and treats inside it.

 The details...

Come Over To My House!

Good Thursday to you!!! Thanks for stopping by! Want to visit my house? Isn't this darn adorable? I used one of the new in colors, Lucky Limeade. It is the color of my studio.. pretty darn cool! I also used whisper white cardstock. For the rooftop I used the Tasteful Trims XL die (i love this die) . I used basic pearls to accent the flowers.. using 2 punches: itty bitty shapes punch pack and boho blossom XL punch. I used the "hi" stamp from the fabulous phrases set (another one of my fav's). Here are a few more photos for you:

Matchbook Madness!

Being a deomonstrator, we have access to a lot of awesome resources to some wonderfully creative ideas to help along the way.. I got this idea out of the July Stampin Success magazine. I am like a sponge for new ideas. I loved this and it was so easy to make. It is like a mini brag book to include pictures in that you can keep in your purse, on a scrapbook page.. a little gift. When opened, there are 4 photo pages for photographs and its ready to easily embellish. I need to get some pictures together. I added velcro on the bottom but I was not thinking (blonde moment) when I did it and it was showing when the matchbook was closed. Ugh! So, I sorta hid it with the ribbon that I stuck to the bottom. One thing I enjoy about paper crafting - there is always a way to fix a mistake! LOL (and I make a lot of those).

Supplies used:
Crumb Cake and So Saffron Cardstocks
Newsprint DSP
Subtle Designer Buttons (So Saffron)
Crumb Cake Ink
SU Sizzix Hearts & Brackets Originals Die (which is retiring - so bummed)
Linen Thread
Daffodil Delighth 3/8 Inch Taffeta Ribbon
Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch

Quick Directions:

Cut a 9 1/2 x 3 3/4 inch piece of cardstock. Score at 4 inches and 8.5 inches Fold at score lines. Decorate and Embellish as desired.

For the Photo cards: Cut (4) at  3 5/8 in x 4 3/8 in pieces and decorate and embellish as desired.

Enjoy and have a GREAT Tuesday!

Strength and Hope!

I have been wanting to use this rubbah set for a while. The more I seen others use it, the more I was itching to play with it. Thsi is the Strength and Hope set. Isnt it beautiful? Stampin Up is donating $2 from this purchasse to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. BCRF is dedicated to preventing breast cancer and finding a cure in our lifetime by funding clinical and translational research worldwide. So, why not grab this set and at the same time, know you are buying a set of stamps that go to a GREAT cause? Here is a card I made quick last night. I used:

Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Rose Red cardstocks, along with Pretty In Pink, Rose Red and Crumb Cake ink and the Early Espresso Stampin Write Marker. I used an antique brad, and wire for the antennas. I love the Pretty In Pink striped ribbon. :) Along the edge of the card, I punched the Rose Red cardstock with the Dotted Scalop Ribbon Border punch.

Hello, My Friends!

Good afternoon! I was able to get in a quick bit of stamping time, between, work, cleaning house and doing laundry. Im just quite the multi tasker, arent I? You know how it goes! Anywho, I have been DYING to use this stamp set. I keep seeing all the wonderful creations with it on Stampin Connection (a place for demonstrators to show off their talents) and I was looking thru, and stumbled across this card. I liked the layout by Debra Daam, but I wanted to play with some different colors. I grabbed my color coach (if you dont have one of these, get one.. its wonderful!) and started to peek around. I decided to use these 3 colors along with whisper white cardstock: blushing bride, early espresso and pear pizzaz. It was a lot of fun. I love the color combo. I also added some bling with our basic rhinestones and the butterfly is a sizzlet stampin up carries too! I feel a little better getting a few minutes of creative time in. Getting my rubbah all inky makes me smile! Have a great day!

Hey, Girlfriend !!! :-)

Hi everyone. Today I became inspired. I had to be close by to the tele today..and while things were slowing down work wise, I decided to make this cute little envelope book using some of the new sneak peek products with Stampin Up that you will find in the NEW 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog. Pretty cool stuff I tell you! I have a love for pendants so this was right up my ally. I started out using the crumb cake medium envelopes as my "book" and bound them using sticky strip and bristol board (I used the packaging that comes with the DSP). I used the new DSP called Just Add Cake. I used the brand new 1/2 inch scallop dot ribbon in chocolate chip. I used the new pendant punch, along with the chocolate chip bakers twine to hold the pendant together. There are pull out tabs inside each envelope that i used baja breeze and whisper white cardstock, along with 1/8 inch taffeta ribbn in pretty in pink. The inside fronts of the envelopes were decorated with the just add cake DSP along with baja breeze cardstock. I used the fabulous phrases to stamp on the modern label punch cut outs. I think it came out quite cute! I may add "MY" at the top of the pennant.. so it will say MY girlfriends. I think that may be cute.. it needs a little something else I think.. what do you think? I hope you like seeing some of the new goodies Stampin Up has added to the new IB&C. There are so many yummy things they have added to the new catalog. I can't wait to show you!

You're Fantastic, Doilie!

Ok, while doing laundry, checking in guests and other domestic duties.. Ive managed to make a few VERY quick cards with the new toys!! OMG.. I love the new in colors. They are beautiful! We have 5 new in colors for the 2011-2013 "in color season":  wisteria wonder, calypso coral, island indigo, lucky limeade (it reminds me of my stamp studio color!), and pool party. Here is a sample - very quickie cards, using 2 stamp sets that are NEW: perfect words (which is a new hostess set), and delicate doilies.

I better go.. work is getting in the way, the noive anyway. :-) Take care and take time to get inky! Have a great day!!

Getting Father's Day Cards Done....

I wanted to get my Father's Day card done.. I got the original idea from my upline, Jenny Peterson. I tweeked mine just slightly.. I like the simplicity of this card. I tried watercolor crayons for the first time. I think I have a new addiction! I'm hopefully going to get to dig thru my new stuff and post something fun for you all to peek at. Yay! (Let's just hope work doesn't get too much in the way!). Have an inky day!!

Graduation Time Again!

I almost forgot that I know of a few kiddo's graduating this year. I didn't have any graduation cards so I went CASEing to see what I could find. I loved this quick and easy card by Andrea Walford. I tweeked it a little to my desire but she lead me in the right direction. I used the Celebration Designer Series Paper (which is retiring at the end of this month), along with Bashful Blue, Red Red, Pacific Point, and Whisper White cardstocks. I used the Basic Black, Red Red and Pacific Point markers, and I found these black pearls in my stash (naughty ne!) but they worked and it needed a little "something". I thought they came out kind of cute and now I'm ready to go partying with the graduate!

It's here!!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone!! My UPS man was here.. delivered my brown box. I ripped into it right away. The wonderful people at SU put the catalog on the bottom, so I got to fondle all my new goodies before getting to the catalog. I giggled at that...

So, I have the catalog here in my hot little hands.. would you like to get a quick sneak peek?? Are you ready....??? Ok.. here you go.........
Ok.. I'm mean.. I'm sorry! BUT, I do have catalogs on the way and if you'd like a copy, please let me know. It can be in your hot little hands on July 1st. Now, if work would just not get in the way so I can stick my nose into this wonderful catalog. Wait until you see the new in colors. I just love them. They make me feel like I want to go somewhere tropical. Beautiful bright colors to coordinate so nicely with our other colors. :) Have a GREAT day!
