Needing An Idea For A Graduate?

Good Friday!! Happy Weekend Everyone! It is a beautiful day in NW Michigan today. The sun is out and it feels like summer! I'm getting my Inn all set for summer.. the grounds.. the pool.. same routine every May.. its rush rush rush.. Its a bittersweet thing. My personal time goes out the window.. and its all about the guests. What about my stamping time? *gasp*. I do try to sneak down to my studio when I can.. because my ink is what keeps me sane. I need my creative time or Id have some big issues LOL.

Today I thought I'd share a clever little idea. Being a demonstrator with Stampin` Up! is pretty cool. Not just the obvious of getting a discount on my gooides and meeting so many new friends that I have been making, but, we get this awesome magazine every month. The Stampin Success magainze has so much good stuff in it. I seen this and I just had to make some. This is so cute.. It is a graduation hat. When you flip the hat to the left, it opens up to reveal a pocket where a gift card can be held (bottom of the graduation cap). I used Basic Black, Whisper White and Tangerine Tango card stock, along with white bakers twine. Ludington's colors are Orange and Black. Go Orioles!

Isn't it cute?! I love it! I mean, I can't think of anyone who wouldn't want a gift card! Including me! *ahem* .. well ok.. I tried! :-) You all take care. Thank you so much for stopping by! Another Assignment..

Are you bored of MDS yet? I dunno what  it is.. but it is highly addicting to me. Nightly I play on my macbook and tinker with the program.. here is an assignment Heather gave us using a sketch of a layout she did.. It needs some improvement but I'm slowly getting it..

I'm using some new downloads.. one of which.. see those numbers and "winter".. those are punches. So, you can fill those in with any color card stock or designer series paper.. pretty darn cool! I likey!

When you cannot sleep... digital scrapbook!

I had a restless night.. maybe it is because I have 5 boxes arriving today? :) I'm excited, what can I say. I was going through some very old photos (I think this was 2006) and this photo of Mario, Tim and I just makes me smile. It was a great time. This was in Prescott AZ. I think there were around 40 of us all there for a Creative Journey and one of the days we were there, Tim had this huge surprise for us. We loaded up into a tour bus and went to his favorite burger place.. In - N - Out Burger. Talk about getting looks! I think we sort of invaded the place. It brings me lots of smiles to look through those photos. A great time and I'm blessed I was part of that. He also took us to his home (yes, in the tour bus.. wonder what his neighbors thought with 40 women piling out of a bus and into his home LOL). We got to see his studio for the first time. Amazing and WOW come to mind! Here is a layout I did last night based on a sketch. I hope it bring a smile to your face, like it does mine (and yes, we were all wearing those silly little hats!).

Ho, Ho, Ho?

Yes, do not adjust your monitor, this is a Christmas project! Isn't it cute? :)The original idea, I got from my upline, we made these cute boxes with the Antique Bouquet paper from the Occasions Mini Catalog. I have these brand new Christmas stamps and Designer Series paper.. and what to do with this stuff? I am so not into thinking Christmas, but ....its only 7 months away! I love ideas for the holidays, and this is what I came up with. Stampin` Up!® sells these cute Kraft Gift Boxes (item #124106). If you have purchased the cookie press (just a hit.. I think there might be more in the future!).. cookies fit great inside these! We sell the clear cellophane bags to put the cookies in, as well! Wouldn't this make a great little (inexpensive) gift for a neighbor, teacher, friend, enemy? LOL. So, here is my crafty little creation for today........ *drumroll*..........

I was thinking of making some cute cards to put inside - kinda like my other box had :) I just love playing with fresh new product.. it makes me happy!

Pretty Matchbooks!

Good day everyone! I was thumbing thru my Stampin Success Magazine (actually another demonstrator had me think about looking thru it again) and they were showing this very nifty idea for making matchbooks. I've made something similar to this.. but for photos which I gave as a gift. It was so cute! This time, i wanted to try it with post it notes. Everyone likes to have a note pad in their purse, right? So, why not make it a little more "foo foo".. and pretty?I used some scrap from yesterday's project, with the Floral District DSP (card below). along with:

Another Sneak Peek - Digital Style!

Hi Everyone! I am checking out something I got to order in advance being I'm a demonstrator. We have the chance to order a digital design and "product suite". This is called Fan Fair and wow.. I love it! This layout took me 5 minutes.. all I had to do was add the photo. This was a pre designed layout from a full book you can design and print. So super cool! I love that SU offers suites with full book layouts and all you have to do is drag and drop your photos. You want to get more creative like I have in the past? (see some previous posts).. you can do that too and design from the "bottom up". Soon there will be an upgrade and for those who will purchase MDS 2 will get those upgrades automatically. I can scrapbook on the go! I love it! Ok.. here is my layout of my little girl, Krystal!

Shiney New Products!

Here is another card I made using some new goodies that have arrived at my doorstep. I feature 2 colors on this one: Pool Party (which is the older of the 2 sets of In Colors) and also the new In Color, Summer Starfruit.
The stamp I am using is from Betsy's Blooms. It is a really cute set. I'm also using the new ink pad, in Summer Starfruit. I must say.. I was sort of fighting the fact that they reformulated the ink pad w/ a new firm foam pad, but quite honestly, after using a few, I am in love. Again, I also used, the DSP, Comfort Cafe. Such pretty paper featuring the colors: Cajun Craze, Midnight Muse (another new In Color), Pool Party, Soft Suede, Summer Starfruit and Very Vanilla. Yummy!

New Catalog & New Goodies!

Good day everyone! Wow.. what a week it has been so far! Sunday night (or should I say, VERY early Monday morning at 2am EDT, 12 Midnight MT), Stampin` Up!® let demonstrators take a sneak peek at the entire catalog on line. At that time, we were able to order goodies and get our complimentary copy of the BRAND NEW Catalog! Woohoo. So, guess who stayed up way too late? I am still trying to catch up and balance out my sleep pattern, but it was so worth it. I must tell you, the new catalog is BEAUTIFUL and has so many wonderful things that I am just squealing and I want to burst and shout and tell you all that is in it - but I can't........... yet! However, if you contact me, I will make sure to get one into your hot little hands ASAP! I have 5 boxes of catalogs ordered and I can't wait to share! Please let me know, okay?

Clarifying The Accessories Transition

Accessories Transition

April 30, 2012 Some of the accessories appearing on the Retiring Accessories List will be reconfigured for the upcoming catalog year (as indicated by an asterisk in the Retiring Accessories List), and we wanted to clarify how this transition will work.

Classic Stampin’ Pads	Yes	All felt Classic Stampin’ Pads will be retired and will be replaced with the new firm foam Classic Stampin’ Pads.	Supply of some existing felt pads may run out before the June 1 launch. If this happens, we will replace the pad with the same color of the new firm foam pad. (See below for additional information.)
Classic Stampin’ Spots	No	Our current color collections will be will be discontinued; however, we will continue to sell the Getting Started selection currently available.	Classic Stampin’ Spots will not be available once the existing supply runs out. The Getting Started collection of Classic Stampin’ Spots will be available in the new annual catalog.
Craft Stampin’ Spots	No	No, all Craft Stampin’ Spots are being discontinued.	Once the supply of Craft Stampin’ Spots is depleted, they will no longer be available.
12" x 12" Smooth  Card Stock	No, because they are currently available in color collection assortment packs.	Yes, a few colors will be available individually, and all colors will be available in color collection assortment packs.	Once existing supply runs out, the only way to purchase some colors will be in a color collection assortment. However, a limited number of our most popular colors will still be available in individual packs.
Stampin’ Write Markers	No, because they are currently available in color collection assortment packs.	Yes, a few colors will be available individually. Stampin’ Scrub	Yes	No, only the new Stampin’ Scrub will be available.	If the Stampin’ Scrub supply runs out before June 1, there will not be another tool available for purchase until June 1.
Paper Cutter	Yes	No, a new style of the Paper Cutter will be available.	If the Paper Cutter supply runs out prior to June 1, there will not be another tool available for substitution. An availability date for the new Paper Cutter has not yet been announced.

Additional Classic Stampin’ Pad information: The system will automatically turn off the old Classic Stampin’ Pad item number once we are out of supply and will turn it back on with the new configuration. So if while placing an order the system says the product is not available, please try again in a few hours. You will not need to enter the new item number, simply order the felt pad number and the system will replace it with the new firm foam pad. There are three exceptions to this transition plan for Classic Stampin’ Pads: Basic Gray Classic Stampin’ Pad, Perfect Plum Classic Stampin’ Pad, and Tempting Turquoise Classic Stampin’ Pad will not be available between when the existing supply runs out and the June 1 launch.

Explanation for All Stamp Pads Listed 

on Retiring Accessories List!

 

When you look at the retired accessories list, you'll note that all of our Stampin' Pads are listed. This is for two reasons: (1) Craft Stampin' Pads will now only be available in black and white; and (2) we are introducing a new Firm Foam pad in our Classic Stampin' Pads with the 2012-2013 annual catalog.

The Firm Foam pads offer better ink coverage and, in turn, better stamped images. They will be available for customer order on June 1.

In addition, please note the following changes in the new catalog, which explanation some of the products being on the retired list:

• Only select Stampin' Write Markers will be available individually (Stampin' Write Markers in color collections will continue to be offered)
• 12" x 12" Textured Card Stock will no longer be offered.
• 12" x 12" Smooth Card Stock will only be available in select individual colors and color collections.
• Any item with an asterisk next to it is being reconfigured.  An example of this could be repackaging, as in the example above of the markers.
• Craft Ink Pads (other than black or white per above) and Craft Refills will no longer be offered.
• Classic Ink Refills (other than the retiring 2010-2012 In Colors) will still be available.
• Stampin' Spots are being discontinued.  Stampin' Up! may possibly reconfigure & sell some of the Classic Ink Spots.
• Other than the retiring 2010-2012 In Colors, the Stampin' Up! colors are NOT retiring.

IMPORTANT CORRECTION: 
Two items that were included on the Retiring Accessories List are not actually retiring. We have updated the lists to remove these items.
