Crafty Bazaar Made By A Bizarre Chick - LOL!
Howdy! I have been thinking and thinking and thinking of what I could make that "might" sell at a craft bazaar that I've been asked to be involved with. So.. after digging through my stash of stuff, I found these lil notepads to cover with decorative paper and will add a matching pen to go with it. Whatcha think? They even come complete with a little bling! Anyway.. I need to buy out the store up the road out and get going on making at least 4 times as many.. yikes! Let me know your thoughts.. matching pen with notepad.. how much would you think is a reasonable price? $5.00? $6.50? I'm terrible at marking a price on my stuff. I'm just not used to selling it. Have a good evening!

Rainy Day Stampin Away
What else do you do when the weather is cold and rainy? You STAMP!!! Lucinda and I went out for lunch at the brewpub for some yummy eats.. then we made a detour to the local scrapbook store, Scrapbook Nook. Vanessa, the owner, let us know she was having a sale on all patterned papers.. 2 for $1.00. How can one refuse a sale?? We used 3 pieces of 12 x 12 cardstock along with stampin up cardstock and between the two of us made.. 16 cards each!!! It is amazing how far 3 pieces of patterned paper went between the 2 of us and making that many cards. We then dug into my Stampin Up patterned paper and started on a new set but only got into a few before we realized it was 10pm. I was a bum today and a creative junkie and I loved every minute of it!!! So, here ya go.. some pics of what we created today :) Have a great inky night!

Leisure Enrichment Class I Will Be Teaching October 27th
So, Ive FINALLY gotten this done. It is a sample for a class I am teaching October 27th at 630pm. If you are local and are interested.. please contact Denise at Leisure Enrichment at 757 - 3471 or email Denise at djones@mccschools.com. This is a mini 4 inch x 4 inch scrapbook made with res
taurant coasters... embellishing as ya like. It is very simple and makes a great gift! I used Club Scrap papers (Let Me Count The Ways Kit), assorted embellishments from Tim Holtz idea - ology line, such as the key, the camera and heart with wings (grungeboard), Ranger Distress Ink (vintage photo) and Ranger Paint Daubers and Tim Holtz unmounted stamps from Stampers Anonymous. The sky is the limit.. Ill also include a picture of one I made a while back using a totally different color theme. Enjoy!
Stampin Again.. Paper Purse - Amazing Class With Jenny , Our StampinUp Consultant!
Ok, so YES, I was once again out stamping. I told ya.. I'm addicted! The more stamps and in, the merrier! Jenny Peterson, our StampinUp Consultant from Shelby MI offered this really cool purse stationary class. She rocks and she has the coolest ideas!! I asked Jenny if she'd mind me once again posting pictures on my blog, because I wanted to share some more great IDEAS! We made this paper purse and inside is 2 cellophane pockets (so you can SEE the cards we made) displayed inside, along with a coorinating pen using the decorative paper thru stampin up. Being in her home was a real treat. There was 8 of us and we had a really good time! Thanks to Colette, Lucinda and Pat for putting up with my crazy driving! I hope you enjoy the pictures!

The Art Prize In Grand Rapids
Today was the last day.. and it really wasnt what I went to Grand Rapids MI for.. but the Art Prize has been going on and its absolutely amazing!!! Check it out here: http://www.artprize.org/event-info. What is Art Prize? It is art.. allllllll over downtown Grand Rapids with people from all over the world competing for cash prizes.....
"At ArtPrize, any artist—from established to emerging—has the chance to show work. Any visitor can vote. The vote will determine who wins the largest art prize in the world. We also took the unusual step to allow people in the city to open a venue and choose the artists to show in their space. There is not one official curator or jury for the competition.
The number of venues is fluid, so the number of competing artists is fluid. The possibilities are wide open."
So, as we ventured slowly this morning to the Bead Show at the Devos Place.. we took a quick glimpse at just a tiny sample of things..the "dragon" is Nessie On The Grand.. and check out the HUGE table and chairs.. anyone for dinner for two on the Grand River? The peace sign in the middle of the river.. and more.. I took a few pics while the runners were zooming by me for a marathon. Was a pretty morning but only in the 40s..chilly! Lu and I being silly!
It's Fall in Michigan Again...
It is that time again, when the temps drop, the leaves change color, Lake Michigan gets tempermental, and that smell of the clean crisp air surrounds us here in Michigan. You see pumpkin and apple orchards..hayrides and hot apple cider with a freshly fried donut.. oh yeah.. its fall here at home. I was in Grand Rapids today.. and I have even more to share in yet one more post.. but I wanted to keep them seperated.. so you get several posts today. David, Lucinda and myself took a drive to Grand Rapids to go to the Bead Show at the DeVos Place (and yes I spent too much money, which is easy to do) and went for Sushi (broke Lu into the whole "sushi experience" and she loved it.. yay.. another sushi conissouier), we also go to see a tiny taste of "art prize" which ill explain more of in a few minutes (next post) and ended the day's adventure with a stop to Robinette's in Grand Rapids - indulging in fresh made donuts and hot apple cider. The line was LONG and it was chilly, but OMG it was SO worth it. This is what fall is all about..
