Tag 7 !!

I didnt have the background impression folder Tim used today, but I compromised with the snowflake embossing folder. I like it! I did the same technique with the ink that the showed yesterday on his blog. This is a sugary sparkly kinda tag.. using a lot of Distress Rock Candy Stickles. Yum!

Online Friends.. Thank You, Anita!

So, for those who do not know, I do chat on mIRC. There are always some people that of course are just plain ole nutballs but .. once in a blue moon you come across someone who you develop a friendship with. Anita is one of those people. Anita goes above and beyond for her friends. Yesterday, while I was a crazy lady in Grand Rapids, I received a box in the mail. She told me to watch for one. I had no idea what I'd find inside. Anita made this BEAUTIFUL afghan for me. I have to tell you, it choked me up when I opened the box. The last time I received an afghan was one my grandmother made for me when I was in my teens. I still have it. Anita, thank you so much.. it is absolutely beautiful and made with caring. I know you took a lot of time and yarn to make this.. I treasure this.. such a sweet thing to do! I love it! Sending you a hug all the way to Louisiana!

Am I Crazy??? ............... Tag 4

Ok.. a story on this tag. Today.. I try to peek at the tag while heading to a craft show. The service for my droid is crap and in Pentwater I cannot get a good enough signal to get to Tim Holtz's page to see tag 4. So, I proceed to go to Pentwater. I go to the craft show to see Jenny and her mom. It was good to see her and she had an awesome booth with pretty things! Then, I get home.. and hop onto Tim's blog. I see the tag and read all of the supplies... and I think.. OMG.. I dont have THAT (the bling on a roll from Michaels Craft store). Ok.. do you know where I'm headed with this??? LOL Michael's is only 90 miles away. Uhuh... you guessed it. I got in my car and decided to go to Grand Rapids (yes, 90 miles away) for....... you guessed it.. bling on a roll !!! LOL. Ok, I have done some nutty things.. this is no surprise. I get something in my head and I have to get it out :) So, after I got home.. I proceeded to do laundry and make my tag. Just a warning... Michaels is getting rid of bling on a roll and it was discounted. They will be discontinuing it.. so if you havent gotten your bling.. ya better take a cruise to your closest Michael's and grab it up. Hopefully, your Michael's store is closer than mine! :-) Take time to cruise and craft! LOL Enjoy................. tag 4.

It is tradition.. this is the 4th year.. and I love this time of year to be pushed with my creativity and try new things Id not normally try.. or even think of. For those who know me, know.. Tim Holtz is a inspiration to me. He kick starts my creative juices when I dont think I have any left and well.. he is easy on the eyes too! LOL. Update On Ruby & Cards To Share!

So, thru the night, Ruby didn't feel so good. She is on a diet of kaopectate today. Bleh! Poor thing. I knew this was going to happen. She has been, lets say.. miserable, today. I called the vet and they told me not to feed her today and just let her have water and kaopectate every hour til bedtime. Oh yum. She has a way with those big puppy dog eyes, I tell you. I will not cave!

Now, for some cards. I got creative yesterday.. and made a few with friends.. and also did my workshop cards from Jenny's Christams card workshop that I missed a few weeks ago. These were fun and Jenny, you find the coolest things for us to do. So here is a few of the cards Lu and I made, and the 5 from Jenny's workshop. Hope you enjoy... Today. Ruby? Where are you? Rubyyyyyyyyyyyy... hey.. c'mere.... (no response.).. Hmm.. what are you into?? *goes up the stairs.. into the family room*.. OMG.. Ruby.. you ate the whole container??? (no wait.. there is 3 left).. Rubyyyyy.. bad doggies! OMG! She is now giving me the look of.. "mom, I think I want to throw up". Sigh. I tell ya.. Ruby is like a kid who is 2 years old. I left a bag on a chair in the room where Im keeping all the wrapped gifts.. (shame on ME) and she found a PetsMart bag. One less thing in her stocking. Thank god she didnt eat the foil around the opening.. just chewed it and spit it out.. that lil bugger had to work hard at getting this canister open. I have to give her credit. Now, will this cute lil puppy get sick tonight? Stay tuned...!

Some Christmas Cheer!

Hi everyone. I have been in my craft studio today. Lucinda and I made a few cards and I made 6 gift card holders which I have CASE'd from my upline Jenny Peterson. Yes, I have decided to take the plunge and become a demonstrator. Crazy stuff! I am a hobbyist and just had to take advantage of the 50% off the Starter Kit. Check it out here at StampinUp . It was something I couldn't pass up any longer. I love the products and paper. I still love all the other goodies out there. Don't get me wrong. You will see here and there I mix stuff up. I cant help it. I love everything!

A Little Creative Therapy!

Hi everyone. :) Lu and I took a quick trip to Muskegon today and then decided to do some stamp therapy. This was fun! This is using the top note die, along with multiple different punches from StampinUp. Pretty cool, eh? I used Old Olive, Real Red, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Pumpkin pie card stocks along with coordinating ink and some miscellaneous stamps (snowflake) and the basic rhinestones jewels. I just loved how these came out. See the small lunch bag in the middle? Perfect to tuck a surprise inside for a unique gift bag. I love it!!

Goodbye My Sweet Angel..

The past 24 hours have been a whirlwind. I feel like I was having this bad dream and it would go away. Jasmine came home from her surgery and I was so excited she was such a trooper and made it thru all of that. After she got comfy on her bed I laid down next to her.. I told her what a trooper she was and how proud I was of her fighting thru the surgery. She was panting hard.. and I knew it had to be hard on her heart.. Jasmine passed away at home around 6pm last night. I'm missing her terribly and I wish I had a magic wand to make it all better and bring her back. I know Jasmine is at Rainbrow Bridge and playing with Baily and Tiffany, too. Goodbye my sweet angel.. I love you.. always. (this is last Chrismtas's picture) BTW, Jasmine would have been 11 years old today.. Happy Birthday Jazzie Girl.

Send Good Vibes To Jasmine...

Hi everyone. I dont have anything crafty to blog at the moment, but I do however have a huge favor to ask of you all. This is Jasmine. She is my baby (one of 2). She is 10 and her 11th birthday is approaching on the 19th. I hope to celebrate her birthday. Jasmine has Cushings Disease. The vet has said that if she doesn't have her adrenal gland removed I may loose her by Christmas. I feel I will do anything possible for my babies. They deserve it. Jasmine is truly an angel. She is so passive and has put up with Ruby the little pistol. That in itself says what a trooper she is. Jasmine goes in for surgery tomorrow at 8am. The surgery will last about 1 hour. I hope to hear great results. I ask you please keep positive thoughts, vibes, prayers, chants.. anything at all.. in hope of Jasmine's speedy recovery. I know it is a risky surgery but she is a trooper and I am trying to think positively. Don't think I'm not worried... if I told you I wasn't, I'd be lying. She is more than "just a dog pet".. she is my family and I love her dearly. I'm stressing.. and just hope all goes well.

November Stamp Club - Way Cool!

Hi Everyone! It is starting to look a lot like Christmas! Really, it is! I had Stamp Club last night and we had a blast. We did 3 cards and a 3D project - super fun! Jenny Peterson , our Stampin Up consultant, gave us each a very special surprise Christmas gift. These necklaces are in the catalog. How cool is this? Jenny stamped the insert and put it inside. You can change them out as ya wish.. its like a locket.  I LOVE IT!!! Thank you so much, Jenny! You are the bestest SU contultant ever!! :-) I really enjoy stamp club - it is cheaper than therapy and its getting together with others who love all this fun paper crafting stuff as much as I do!

This weekend is the first of two weekends at Laurie's house.. the Art & Craft show starting at 10am, each day for this and next weekend. If you are local.. please make a lil trip over and say hello! She is located at 501 East Melendy. Look for the house with the big sun on the porch and follow those cute PINK signs with the angel logo. :) Have a great rest of your week! The Holiday Art Show @ Laurie Carey's Home Nov 12, 13, 19 & 20

Hi Everyone! So, finally.. I have all my goodies done. It really only took me a couple of weeks but it seemed much longer than that. It is a labor of love tho and hey.. what can I say.. I hope those who purchase stuff at Laurie's truly enjoy the handmade goodies. Here is what I've made.. mostly stocking stuffers and a few things from last year. Decorated notepads with matching pen, a mini book with lipbalm inside, pendents, Ghirardelli chocolates wrapped up all pretty, mini hand sanitizers wrapped up kinda cute, hot cocoa with peppermint sticks holder, post it note holder with magnet on the back for the fridge, and a cutely decorated tic tac goodie.
